Message for his top notch work on my car.
Bernie recently completed the following work on my 1990 300 ZX TT.

He replaced the EFI Harness, Heater Core Hoses (Inlet and Outlet), Radio Upper Trim, Cracked Fan, Cracked Fog Light Back, Marred Steering Wheel and Installed Carbing Front & Rear Strut Tower Bars, Leather Center Console Arm Rest, High Flow Cats, Down pipes, 300 Degree Master Cylinder Brace, Nose panel Gaskets and Support, Dupree Subframe Spacers, Defi Gauges (Water, Oil and Boost), Exterior Trim Molding (Windshield, T-Tops and Windows), and removed the old AIV System from fenders & engine bay.

A lot of work, but Bernie did the job right the first time and double checked his work to ensure that there would be no follow-on problems and there were not.

Now for the rest of the story – After I got my car back from Bernie I decided to take it to the Nissan Dealer to get the wheels aligned, balanced and oil changed (Bernie does not do wheel alignments or oil changes). Simple task for the Nissan Dealer, something they surely won’t screw up. I arrived at the dealer, paid my bill and got into the car and started it up. As I was slowly driving out of their bay I heard a rubbing sound. Must be the brakes, I thought, after all I had just washed it, but I better check this out. Fortunately, I was still in the dealer’s parking lot. After getting out of the car, I noticed right away that the wider rear wheels were on the front and the front wheels were on the back. When I checked the car in I told the service representative to ensure the wheels are put back on the car exactly as they are.

I asked the service rep if they test drove the car. Surely they would have heard the rubbing? They did not test drive the car.

Next time I hope to find an alignment shop with state-of-the-art equipment and smart technicians to align my wheels.
